Build and sustain a school in Zambia
Providing high quality Education in Zambia.

Please help us to build and sustain a school in Africa. Not only will we build a school in Africa but we will develop outreach projects that empower local people. These outreach projects will be based upon the livesimply principles of sustainability and solidarity.

We seek to transform the face of education in Zambia and across Southern Africa through our unique approach to education promoting sustainable development, sustainability and high quality education. The school that we will build in Africa will be the Zambezi International School.

In order to promote the building of our school in Africa the Thembinkosi Foundation was established in September 2008 in order to raise funds for the building of the Zambezi International School (ZIS) in the Mwandi/Sheseke District of Zambia on the shores of the mighty Zambezi and the outreach projects that will follow the building of our school in Africa.

ZIS is to be a co-eductional boarding school set in the most beautiful location within a few kilometres of the Victoria Falls and the tourist capital of Zambia, Livingstone.

ZIS is to be built using local materials and by local people. It will be a self sufficient institution utilising micro hydro electric power, solar power and bio fuel technologies. Our students will be at one with their environment and will play an active role in conservation projects.

Thembinkosi Foundation is a grant making non-profit organisation in the United Kingdom that supports the development of future Christian African leaders. Thembinkosi Foundation is wholly independent of ZIS, with a distinct Board of Directors.

As a public charity gifts to Thembinkosi Foundation will be tax-deductible in the United Kingdom.
